My philosophy is that although many people have been convinced that they are "not good at" math and science, this is not the case. In truth, nearly everyone can excel in math and science; they simply need to be given proper instruction. This is often difficult or impossible to do in a classroom setting, but is much more achievable in a one-on-one tutoring setting. Finding the right explanation to suit the right student is my particular fascination and joy. Helping students arrange information in their brains in the best way so they can access it usefully and coherently is the whole point of the thing. 500+ hours tutoring experience as a private physics (and MCAT prep) tutor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Tutored mostly at university level, but also high school level. 200+ hours tutoring experience as a school-employed tutor at Taylor University, tutoring math, chemistry, physics, and MCAT prep.
